Acyrlic on Panel

This painting is two 11"x14" cradled panels that are hung with a 1/8" gap in between. It looks like one painting but is actually two. The gap creates it's own element, which I love. The negative space is so intriguing and really changes the painting. It gets a lot of attention in the studio!

  • I paint on cradled panels that are made by a local woodworker. The front is masonite and there is hanging wire on the back for easy hanging. The front of the painting is varnished with matte varnish and the back is sealed with a liquid matte varnish. So no moisture will affect the painting.
